GET.invest provides a range of services that aim to match the clean energy project/business development process in order to mobilize the private sector and build a pipeline for financing and investment. Under its “Market Insights” platform, GET.invest shares information on countries, markets and financing opportunities to help clean energy project developers and business owners understand the steps involved in developing a project or running a business in a certain country and/or specific renewable energy market segment. The Market Insights cover issues such as market size (characteristics of the market segment now and in the future) and economics (viability of the business case, investment opportunities etc.), among others.

In 2021, GreenMax was retained by GIZ to prepare a total of five Market Insights Packages across four countries: Burundi Mozambique, Nigeria and Uganda. The Market Insights Packages cover selected renewable energy market segments in each country and assess the market opportunity, regulatory environment and competitive landscape while illustrating successful business models that can be employed by private local and international companies. We are analyzing the C&I solar and small IPP sectors in Mozambique; solar solutions for the agricultural supply chain in Uganda; small hydropower for rural development in Burundi; and electric mobility in Nigeria.
