Lucy Mwaura is a legal professional with expertise in Corporate and Commercial Law, specializing in investment advisory, fundraising, corporate governance, partnerships, policy development, tax, and compliance. She also has extensive experience in supporting startups, guiding them through legal complexities from incorporation to fundraising.

At GreenMax, Lucy primarily works on the Smart Outcomes Fund Component (SOF Component) of the RBF Window of the KfW Clean Energy and Energy Inclusion for Africa (CEI Africa) Foundation, which provides financing and technical assistance to green mini-grid developers, off-grid solar companies and standalone productive use of energy enterprises in Africa. In this capacity, she prepares grant agreements, ensures legal compliance, and provides legal support to the Technical Assistance team.

Lucy holds an LLB honors degree from the University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. She has professional certifications as a Certified Professional Mediator, Certified Secretary (CS), and Certified Information Privacy Professional, Europe (CIPP/E).
