As the adage goes, ‘A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.’ Thirty years ago, GreenMax embarked on its journey, a vision that has since blossomed into a thriving enterprise. Over the last three decades, as the threat of climate change has worsened, GreenMax has been a steadfast advocate for a sustainable energy transition, actively promoting climate mitigation and adaptation efforts worldwide.

I joined GreenMax in 2023 to support the fund management team, specifically focusing on the implementation of the RBF window of the CEI Africa Fund. Although my tenure with the company has been relatively brief, it has been a highly rewarding experience for me. I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside a talented and dedicated team to support a number of interesting projects in the African energy access finance space, with a focus on the mini-grid and productive use sectors. The work I have contributed to at GreenMax not only supports environmental sustainability but is also particularly impactful for local communities.

GreenMax’s expertise in clean energy offers a twofold solution: reducing global emissions to mitigate climate change and addressing the energy needs of local communities. This approach not only contributes to environmental sustainability but also improves the economic and social well-being of populations.

As we celebrate GreenMax’s 30-year anniversary, I am proud to be part of this dynamic organization whose commitment to innovation, collaboration, and making a positive impact is truly inspiring.  I look forward to the continued growth and achievements of GreenMax in the years to come!
