Christian BakoleTechnical Advisor, Mwinda Fund, DRC

Christian Bakole is supporting the implementation of the World Bank-funded Decentralized Energy Fund (Mwinda Fund), an RBF facility that will provide grants for standalone systems, mini-grids, and productive use of electricity (PUE) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Christian is an economist and energy sector specialist with over 15 years of experience in financial analysis, project management, and sustainable energy policy. Prior to joining GreenMax, he served as Deputy Director of Economic and Tariff Affairs at the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ARE), where he led national efforts in energy pricing, strategic planning, and economic regulation.
Christian holds a M.Sc. in Energy Science and Policy from Ajou University in South Korea and a B.Sc. in Financial Management from ULPGL in Goma, DRC. He is also an alumnus of the Mandela Washington Fellowship at the University of California, Davis. Christian is fluent in French, English, and Swahili.
