Dario Cesareo is a senior Result-Based Financing (RBF) specialist on the GreenMax team designing the World Bank-funded PARSE energy access fund in the Central African Republic, which will provide grants for standalone solar and productive use of energy solutions.
Dario has over 30 years of international development experience, as Team Leader, Program Coordinator, Grants Manager under different donors (EU, MCC/USA, FAO, Italian Cooperation, etc.), in the domain of good governance, local development and management of natural resources, supporting governments, local communities and civil society. He has a proven expertise in capacity building of Ministries staff and NGOs for the management of RBF Programs with establishment of monitoring and evaluation systems, definition of appropriate performance indicators, setting of basic values and targets at each intervention level to measure outputs and results.
Prior to joining GreenMax, he served as the Grant Manager of the MCA-Benin II Off-Grid Clean Energy Facility (OCEF) and has previous experience in Cameroon, Chad, Ghana, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal and Papua New Guinea.
Dario holds a Ph.D. in International Economics from the University of Salerno, Italy. He speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
