Ezinne Okafor is an Analyst based in GreenMax’s Lagos, Nigeria office, where she mainly supports the work of the Transaction Advisory and Fund Management Groups in Nigeria and throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Ezinne is supporting GreenMax’s launch of the GreenStreet Africa Development Company in Nigeria, an aggregation platform which develops portfolios of distributed renewable energy projects at African public health and education facilities, and of the Green-for-Access First Loss Facility (G4A), a new risk mitigation platform that partners with local financial institutions in Africa to facilitate local currency lending for energy access.

Prior to joining GreenMax, Ezinne was an intern at the African Export-Import Bank, where she worked across the Bank’s Strategy and Innovation, Research and Client Relations teams on various international trade finance programs and initiatives. She also worked in a Business Development and Program Management role at SEO Africa, a non-profit focusing on career and professional development.

Ezinne is a member of the Africa Women in Energy Development Initiative (AWEDI), an organization which supports women across the energy value chain in Africa. She holds a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria. She is fluent in English and Igbo and proficient in French.
