Milan Rusnak has over 25 years of experience in the design, management and implementation of development programs and projects in clean energy and climate change mitigation and adaptation, collaborating with international and local financial institutions and private sector companies in emerging markets worldwide. He has extensive experience in identification of investment opportunities and building tailored partnerships with private sector, development institutions and donors, which are structured on the basis of commercially feasible, replicable and scalable business models aimed at securing appropriate funding for their implementation to achieve sustainable impact. He is also skilled in the provision of advisory services aimed at capacity building of financial institutions and management of in-house, external consultants and partners.
As a consultant at GreenMax, Milan supported the design of green financial products targeting MSMEs and low-income households in Suriname for the IDB Eco-Micro Program. He also supported sustainable energy financing assignments in Chile for the IFC and in Egypt for USTDA. Milan previously worked in various roles at IFC, where he managed sustainable energy finance programs throughout Europe and Asia.
Milan holds an M.B.A. from the City University of Slovakia. He is fluent in English and Slovak.
