Segun Adaju has with nearly 30 years of experience in banking, clean energy finance and project development. As President of the Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria, he has an extensive record promoting development of the country’s off-grid sector. He is also the CEO of BlueOcean Nigeria, an independent group that works with development partners in Nigeria’s clean energy space to improve energy efficiency and increase the penetration of renewable energy in the country.

As a consultant at GreenMax, Segun has worked on several assignments in Nigeria. He led GreenMax’s update of the World Bank Regulatory Indicators for Sustainable Energy (RISE) index for Nigeria, participated in a study of the rural mini-grid sector in Nigeria and Sierra Leone for SEforALL, and supported an assessment of the country’s off-grid solar market for the World Bank-funded Regional Off-Grid Electrification Project (ROGEP).

Segun holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and holds certificates from Harvard Business School, MIT/Sloan School of Management and the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management.
