As a newcomer to GreenMax, I’m excited to be a part of the team that ushers in its 30th year. As an administrative assistant for the finance department based in the New York office, I have only met a handful of my colleagues in person thus far. Despite the distance, it is a testament to the GreenMax culture and community that I feel so connected to my international colleagues. I also continue to feel impressed by the global impact of this small (and growing!) company.

Reflecting on my brief tenure at GreenMax, I keep returning to one word: opportunity. GreenMax provides opportunities to individuals and entrepreneurs to access financing, build self-reliance, and grow their businesses, while contributing to the local economy, reducing emissions and fostering sustainable development.

On a personal note, I have found working at GreenMax to be a family friendly opportunity. After leaving the workforce to raise my children, I found myself in an unfamiliar landscape when it came time to reenter the job market. GreenMax gave me the opportunity to work, while still prioritizing parenthood. In my short time with the company, I have found opportunities to learn new skills and grow professionally, while still maintaining a work-life balance that I wasn’t sure was possible.

As GreenMax celebrates its 30th anniversary, I am confident many new opportunities for communities, clients, and colleagues are in store in the years ahead.
