Description:

Darway Coast is a Nigerian mini-grid developer that is developing 120 remote mini-grids in Rivers, Anambra, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Imo and Calabar States, as well as 40 interconnected mini-grids with Abuja, Enugu, Eko and PH Discos. 

In 2021, with funding from the US Trade Development Agency (USTDA), Darway Coast selected a consortium led by GreenMax and Odyssey Energy Solutions to undertake a feasibility study for a portfolio of 80 mini-grids and 15 distributed generation installations for commercial clusters. The scope of work includes geospatial analyses and community surveys for 100 mini-grid locations, conceptual designs for each system, regulatory roadmap for all approvals, preliminary environmental impact studies, economic and financial analysis, and financial strategy for investment.
