Description:
Trust Synergy Infrastructures Limited (TSIL) is a renewable energy developer working on a portfolio of opportunities mainly in Kano State, Nigeria. TSIL currently has a pipeline consisting of over 50 MW of off-grid renewable energy projects. In 2017, TSIL retained GreenMax as an advisor to raise funds for the implementation of its pipeline of projects. The first project GreenMax is supporting is for the Kano Economic City (KEC), a 117-hectare off-grid market being developed by Brains & Hammers (B&H) under a Joint Venture Agreement with the Kano State Government.
In 2018, with support from GreenMax, TSIL signed an MOU outlining the commercial terms for supplying up to 10MW of hybrid solar power to the Kano Economic City (KEC) complex. In 2019, GreenMax helped TSIL secure an investment partnership with Empower New Energy, an Africa-focused C&I sector specialist investment fund backed by two public development finance institutions – EU ElectriFI and Norfund – as well as several private Norwegian investors. In 2020, GreenMax supported TSIL and Empower to close out PPA negotiations, finalize the first phase of project design, complete the ESIA to secure all permits and proceed with construction of the initial 1MW power plant.
