Description:

Since 2014, GreenMax has been working to implement EBRD’s Regional Energy Efficiency Program (REEP) in the Western Balkans, which aims to identify and support preparation of a pipeline of public sector energy efficiency projects. GreenMax managed municipal ESCO initiatives for street lighting retrofits in Croatia, Kosovo and North Macedonia and for hospital heating system upgrades in Bosnia and Serbia.

In each country, the GreenMax team prepared a model Energy Performance Contract and tender documentation that was shared will relevant stakeholders in each country (energy ministries, local authorities, ESCOs, local financial institutions). Based on this model contract and tender documentation, street lighting projects have been successfully tendered, contracted and implemented in more than 20 Croatian municipalities. The GreenMax team’s work under the REEP framework has been recognized by EBRD as the most successful municipal ESCO program in the agency’s history.
