Etiosa Uyigue is an energy policy and market research expert with extensive experience in the fields of renewable energy, energy efficiency and climate change. Over the last decade, Etiosa has supported various energy efficiency programs and initiatives in Nigeria and across West Africa.

As a consultant at GreenMax, he supported preparation of a national energy efficiency roadmap for Papua New Guinea on behalf of UNDP.

Previously, Etiosa served as an advisor to CLASP to guide implementation of the Kigali Cooling Efficiency Program (KCEP) in the ECOWAS region. He also supported the design of minimum energy performance standards for the GIZ-EU funded Nigeria Energy Support Programme, served as the National Program Coordinator for the GEF-UNDP Energy Efficiency Programme in Nigeria, and was an Energy Efficiency Expert for UNDP on the De-risking Sustainable Off-Grid Lighting Solutions project in Nigeria.

Etiosa is currently Executive Director of the Community Research and Development Centre in Abuja, Nigeria, an organization that promotes renewable energy and energy efficiency efforts throughout the country. Etiosa holds a master’s degree from the University of Benin, Nigeria.
