Stanislas Niyonzima is an independent consultant with four decades of experience in the fields of renewable energy, clean cooking and microfinance, specializing in project planning, management, capacity building and training.

As a consultant at GreenMax, he is supporting the GET.invest Market Insights assignment in Burundi, which focuses on small hydropower for rural development.

Stanislas previously worked for GIZ Burundi in various capacities, supporting program design, implementation and management, including the EnDev project, which he led as National Coordinator for more than 10 years. Prior to joining GIZ, he worked on behalf of several international organizations in Burundi, including Care International, Dutch Relief and Rehabilitation Agency, Africare Burundi, USAID, the Ministry of Planning, and Credit Mutuel Français.

Stanislas holds a master’s degree in agricultural project management and planning and a bachelor’s degree in rural economics, from the University of Burundi in Bujumbura. He is fluent in English, French, Kirundi and Swahili.
