Xan Garcia Ehrhardt is the Director and Founder of Nishati Renewables Consulting and Board Director at AMER (Mozambican Renewable Energy Association). He is a renewable energy and energy access development expert who provides project management and technical assistance services to off-grid solar companies, donors, investors, and governments throughout Africa. Xan previously worked in senior management and operations roles for leading energy access companies in the African PAYGO solar sector, including SolarWorks! in Mozambique and BBOXX and Mobisol in Rwanda.

As a consultant at GreenMax, Xan supported the design of green financial products targeting MSMEs and low-income households in Suriname for the IDB Eco-Micro Program.

Xan is pursuing a M.Sc. in Climate Change and Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London and holds a B.Sc. in Automotive Engineering from Esslingen University in Germany. He is fluent in English, Spanish, German, and Portuguese.
